Model ASG Specific Gravity Testers

Specific gravity is determined by taking a sample of known size, weighing it in air, then weighing it in a predefined test solution of a precise density, and then calculating the difference. The resultant is the specific gravity.

The Model ASG is used to determine the specific gravity of uncompounded, compounded, and reclaimed stocks of unvulcanized rubber and rubber-like materials. It conforms with the requirements of ASTM.

The Model ASG comes complete with a hookup to a PC with BENZWIN2000 software for automated data collection and control. The software shows dry weight, wet weight and specific gravity for each test. The average, standard deviation and coefficient of variation is automatically calculated after the second test, and the minimum and maximum values are also presented as well.

Model BP2 Brittlepoint Testers

The Samples are immersed in a solution to drop the temperature. After three minutes at the desired temperature, the samples are hit with a striker of prescribed radius and speed. The operator then inspects the samples to see how many have failed.

The instrument has a built-in temperature controller, and with the optional liquid nitrogen control, allows the operator the ability to change the temperature and get to the new temperature quickly and accurately.

The Sample Holding Fixture can hold up to ten samples at one time. The amount of energy can be measured after each test to ensure consistent test results.

This oscillating disk-cure rheometer, per ASTM D-2084 and ISO-3417, tests elastomeric materials to determine values for viscosity, cure characteristics and temperature at various points in the cure cycle.

Computerized testing simplifies and reduces setup, data acquisition and display time.

The ODR software prompts the user through each screen, which greatly reduces employee training time. This software builds your data library by compound, batch and test, and stores data, on hard drive or disks, for future analysis.
